About H&P

History & Potpourri (ISSN 2691-9656) is an independent eZine published monthly 10-12 times per year by L.A.S. Books. Each issue contains articles on history, the Unexplained, current events, the arts, inspiration, personal growth, and the like. Visit the issue index (coming soon) for an idea of content. All issues are digital (PDF).

How to Subscribe

Use the button below to subscribe. Your one-year subscription gives you access to all current issues and archives in the H&P library.

• You must manage your subscription through PayPal.
• Do not contact L.A.S. Books about subscription payments and renewals; it is all processed through PayPal.
• Renewals are automatic through your PayPal subscription. If you encounter a problem, please contact PayPal support.
• Please note PayPal's policy that after canceling a payment, subscription, or automatic billing agreement you are still required to pay the merchant for the goods or services you received. A subscription can be cancelled up until the day before the next scheduled payment in order for you not to be charged.
• Also note my policy that due to the consumable nature of this product, all processed sales are final, as-is, and non-refundable with no substitutions, exchanges, or refunds (full or partial). 
• A valid email address is required to give you access (make sure you type it in correctly! I am not responsible for typos and will not be tracking down corrections).
• To give H&P as a gift, simply type in the recipient's email address.
• You will need a PDF viewer, like Adobe Acrobat, to view the eZine files.
• I value personal privacy and will never share or sell your information.
• Internet laws regarding age restrictions on payment and content apply. Though content is for general audiences, I strive to transact only with those who meet PayPal's policies for payment and those age 13 and up for content, as verified by the purchaser. Truthful verification of your age is your sole responsibility.

How to Print

Print out issues on your printer at letter (8.5"x11") size, portrait layout. There are multiple pages of content, primarily text and color images. Please consider double-sided printing and conserving ink usage. You may expect a changed quality from the PDF to the printed page.

How to Share

Please feel free to tell all your friends, family members, and coworkers about History & Potpourri, but you may not resell or otherwise distribute, digitally or in print, this copyrighted material without my express written consent. This is not only the right thing to do legally but also helps show your support for a woman-owned small business.

How to Write for H&P

History & Potpourri may accept freelance or student submissions of 100%-original articles, images, and art. Sources must be provided, properly cited and supported by a second source. Submissions from students, retirees, those with disabilities, and individuals who need exposure or publishing credits for growing their resumes are especially encouraged to submit.

How to Submit Your Work  Please review the type of content suitable for H&P, stated briefly at the top of this page, then email your final article (ready to publish; no proposals or incomplete work) of between 100 and 1,000 words along with a two-sentence bio/contact blurb and any image suggestions to Submissions @ LAS Books WV . com. A valid email address is also required if I need to contact you.

Multiple Submissions and Resubmissions  Yes, you may submit more than one article at a time, but please do not resubmit rejected articles, even with edits, unless requested.

Response Time  I will contact you via email within four weeks only if your submission is accepted. If you do not hear back in that time, it means your submission was not accepted. Please do not resubmit rejected articles; however, please feel free to submit other articles for consideration. I do not provide reasons or feedback on rejected submissions.

Terms  Upon our agreement to publish, you agree to the following terms. L.A.S. Books reserves limited use rights for the issue of publication. You retain copyright. Your content may be edited for publication; I reserve the right to make any changes as I see fit for any or no reason, an explanation for which I do not need to provide. You will receive a complimentary PDF of the issue in which your article is published. Please encourage your family and friends to purchase the issue your work appears in, using the ordering information above. Payment for your article—if any—is currently a dim prospect; if a small payment is agreed to, it will be processed securely online via PayPal.
